We are six hunters from Central Vermont. We have rented the camp from the Babic's for the past six years. Always have a great time. Nothing like waking up on the first day of the season in Groton. Big Woods and Bigger Deer.Sorry no pictures. Can't wait for 2009!!
Merry Christmas Dad! Get me some pictures, okay?? Can't wait for next summer at the lake! Love ya, Lis
My favorite place... nothing makes me happier than sitting on the porch with a great book, gazing out at the water! My week at camp is relished every year.Thank you Don & Sharon!
The place is great. In the future I would hope that Don will be more accomidating a provide at least one Bud Light a day and deliver it to me on the deck. Merry Christmas! Tom
Don and Sharon - you both know how much I treasure my time at the lake. I have pictures of my various stays there on by digital camera frame at the office and I see them every day. I think my favorite time of the day there is at sunrise and those loons are incredible. This past year I was treated to a phenominal lightning show more than once which I was able to watch from that great porch sitting in mother's chair. I agree with Tom though, a Bud Light every day isn't too much to ask for - or at least the opportunity to share one with you each day. I am so thankful I can count on Groton as a destination each year and that I get to share it with Tutti and Howard and the two of you.
Spent our first week there when my daughter turned 2. She is now turning 10 and we missed last summer, so can't wait for our week this year. Sharon and Don are the best and I can almost hear the loons now! If you are looking for rest, relaxation and reconnecting with your family, this is the place to go.
Very familiar with Whip O Will. I spent every day of each summer, from birth until the early 70's, right next door. My grandfather bought that camp and built 4 others on that property. My childhood memories never wonder far from my summers there. Haven't been back for many years but I do know that whip o will was one of the first camps built on the lake. My grandparents named each camp and am glad to see the name (at least whip o will) is still used. Your pics of the camp and the views of the lake brought back many wonderful memories.
Whip-O-will has been the place I have spent my birthday for the past years. We began comming to this camp sence I was two years old and am now 12 and every second has been a blast, even the years it has rained all week to the years it was 80 all week. From the time you see the drive way to the time you leave the drive way you are relaxed and feel at home. I always remeber asking my mom the day we left camp when are we going to camp nexy year? Whip-O-will has made many memories that I will never forget. I cant wait to come back to camp in July!
Thank you for information
